Dan Simpkins is the Chief Executive Officer and one of the two founding partners of Dwellwell Analytics, Inc. The company has developed an IoT SaaS product that helps protect residential real estate assets by identifying maintenance issues before they become costly and disruptive.
Within the company, Dan’s responsibilities include corporate financing, product roadmap guidance, investor relations, and strategic partnerships. Dan has more than 30 years of technology expertise and entrepreneurial success.
Dan is a member of the Cornell University Engineering College Council and serves on the Board of Trustees for the Jewish Community Foundation of Washington. He is a former board member for the Charles E. Smith Jewish Day School in Rockville, Maryland, and he and his wife endowed the Irene and Daniel Simpkins Senior Capstone Israel trip, enabling students to experience an educational trip to eastern Europe and Israel in the spring semester of their senior year.
As a serial entrepreneur who holds more than 20 U.S. patents, Dan frequently teaches, writes, and speaks about entrepreneurship, including at the world-renowned Consumer Electronics Show (CES), at SxSW, and at his alma mater, Cornell University.
Although Dan has called Bethesda, Maryland home for several decades, he is a native New Yorker. Dan attended Cornell University, having earned a B.S. in Electrical Engineering with Distinction and a Master of Engineering.
